| The Arbutus Tree |
The Kerry Chapter logo emerged from an amalgamation of ideas from the members.
Its central image features the leaves and fruit of the Arbutus or Strawberry tree.
Arbutus is a small evergreen tree, native to the Mediterranean coast of Europe, Brittany and Ireland. It is found rarely in Cork and around Lough Gill in Sligo, Killarney in County Kerry is its Irish stronghold.
The frame around the Arbutus image is the textured edge of a turned bowl. The green and gold represent the Kerry County colours and Craobh Chiarraí translates into English as Kerry Branch or Chapter.
